With the recent news about the coronavirus (also known as COVID-19), we wanted to make sure that you were aware of the precautions and safety measures that we take every day to help provide and protect the health and safety of our dental patients in our dental office open in Pasadena. Your health and well-being are right at the highest point on our priority list, and now is certainly no exception.
At Walnut Hill Dental, we have taken pride in our ability to practice a high level of infection control since the moment our business opened. As always, all dental chairs and tools are cleaned and sanitized after every use and only sterile utensils and tools are used with our dental patients. We can assure you that highly trafficked and frequently touched areas, such as the lobby and front office, are being disinfected several times throughout the day by our Pasadena dental staff.
Walnut Hill Dental is following all of the guidelines and suggestions as shared by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA) while keeping our dental office open in Pasadena. Our doctors and staff members will continue to stay up to date on this information, as well as the daily debriefings with the mayor every day. These facts are changing almost daily at this time. We will continue to do our best to provide exceptional dental treatment even in the face of this virus.
To further contribute to the dire needs to stop the spread of this virus, please note that you will be briefly screened prior to your dental appointment to be sure that you are not showing symptoms related to COVID-19. Those affected have stated that they are experiencing a cough, fever, and shortness of breath. If you, or anyone in your home are experiencing these or any other flu-like symptoms, we urge you to stay home. You can call into the dental office and we will be happy to assist you in rescheduling your appointment for a later date once your symptoms have subsided.
Also, please note that you may be asked to remain in your car while you wait for your dental appointment, rather than to sit in the waiting room. We want to respect the need for social distancing in every way we possibly can. Once inside the office, the front office may greet you and then request that you sanitize your hands immediately upon arrival. You may also be asked to sanitize your hands again as you vacate the treatment area. Don’t worry, we will be sanitizing right alongside you because we are all in this together.
We will be here to serve you and take care of all of your dental needs. However, as we are all doing our best to maintain social distancing, here are some tips to remember until we see you next.
- Consider switching to an electric toothbrush. Not only is it better at removing plaque than a manual toothbrush, it also has a built-in time so you know that you will hit that two-minute mark each time you brush. Call us today at 6263404428 to make the switch! You wont regret it. Plus, who doesn’t love a shiny new toy, especially at a time like this?
- Be sure to always always keep your dental hygiene items on hand – toothbrush replacement heads, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash are essential in your daily routine for a happy and healthy smile. Manual toothbrushes are always nice to have on hand as well – if not for you, then for others who may come your way.
- Be sure to brush and floss your teeth twice daily. This, and regular visits to your Pasadena dental office are your best line of defense against those unwanted cavities and germs.
- Be sure to drink plenty of water and maintain a well balanced and healthy diet as often as you can. Sure, treat yourself to a sweet treat now and then, but remember, it’s a special thing.
Also, don’t hesitate to call our Walnut Hill Dental staff should you experience any sort of dental emergency right away. If you or anyone you know are experiencing any kind of bleeding, swelling, sensitivity or pain, give us a call at 626-340-4428 day or night. Even if you just have a question that you want answered, we are here for you.
We know that there is a lot of concern out there about coronavirus. We continue to keep those in our community and around the world in our thoughts as this thing continues to grow. However, please know that your Pasadena dental office is here to support you every day. Keep smiling Pasadena and we hope to see you soon.
